James Webb was a competitive food eater who consumed large quantities of food in a short period of time. He had quit his job to take part in this activity and entered many contests, in which he would earn large portions of money if he won.
In previous contests he had entered, he had broken many records. For example, the first contest he ever entered was a pancake eating contest. He broke the record by eating 38 pancakes in 1 hour. Additionally, he broke a different record by eating 17 sausage sandwiches in under 3 minutes. In New York’s Famous Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, he ate 47 hotdogs in 10 minutes, placing third overall.
Before he was hospitalized because of a serious sickness, Mr. Webb had played semi-professional soccer after overcoming obesity. He suffered from Guillain-Barre syndrome, which caused him to be paralyzed and the doctors told him that he would never be able to walk again.
It got worse since Mr. Webb also developed cataracts, which caused him to be blind and give up his soccer career.
Now, Mr. Webb is healthy and fit after he got treatment to be able to see and learned how to walk again. He is now living his best life with a good career, a Professional Food Eater.
