After a few seconds lost in thought, Sam regains awareness. His therapist gets his attention. She asks him to remember the reason why he’s here, and Sam starts telling the story of how he lost his daughter. He had taken Lily to the park and while she was playing with her toy unicorn Sam got distracted for one second this was enough for Lily to disappear without a trace.

After the first few frantic hours, Sam became suspicious of a guy with curly hair and strangely intent blue eyes who had been watching the kids a little too closely that day. Sam had managed to get Kyle arrested but his lawyer proved his innocence, due to mental issues, Kyles’s lawyer insisted that he couldn’t remember what happened and or where Lily was.

Years passed and his wife left him. At that point, the therapy session ended. Sam sat it the car and looked at pictures of his daughter and his wife Vivian, then he met with his partner Jax. Sam and Jax work for a detective agency solving cases. They drove near a local bank because they had been sent an anonymous tip of an imminent robbery. Jax explains two other branches of the same bank were previously robbed already, but only one specific safety box was taken each time even if they didn’t have any money.

When they arrive, the two detectives join their surveillance team in the truck to observe the scene outside the bank. They soon see a man named Darrell, who Sam thinks looks familiar.

Darrell sits next to a woman on a bench, and when Darrell says “It’s very sunny today” then the woman walks away and repeats what he said without stopping. Then Darrell talks to the cops in front of the bank who easily let him pass. Then Sam immediately goes after him. To his shock, when Darrell gets inside, he walks straight into a wall and dissapears. Sam decides to touch it and gets sucked in into a full white dimension.

Sam entering the portal can now resee what happened and how he lost his daughter.

Now seeing that Kyle had kidnapped Lily and was ready to blackmail Sam, he had to find a way to get back, Sam started banging on the walls but that was no use, he shouted, cried, but then finally Darrell and says “Sorry for the inconvenience I was busy.”. Sam confused asks why are you here, Darrell reveals himself to an undercover worker for the government. He reveals that Sam has been in a fake simulation this entire time.

Before Sam could speak Darrell injects a needle into Sam and he falls back into the therapists office seeing it’s a repeated simulation.
