Moscow Reports Two Drone Attacks, Suspected to be from Ukraine

Three drones were fired from Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry suggested on Sunday. The latest waves of attacks are still continuing in Moscow after 17 months of war, after being started by several political issues and arguments. One drone was destroyed around Odintsovo, but the others caused damage to a skyscraper. Even though no injuries were caused, the video footage showed broken beams and shattered windows.

Ukraine does not claim responsibility for this attack to maintain the element of surprise for military advantage. However, Ukrainian officials said last week that several drone attacks were conducted in Kyiv and are on their way to Moscow.

Ukraine’s president, Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky, did not specifically talk about the hits and attacks on Russia but also said that the war is returning to Russia.

Despite the Moscow attacks becoming more frequent, they have so far caused no deaths. They have also been less extensive than Russian attacks, which are mainly targeted at civilian areas.

Ukraine has also endured four drone attacks from Russia. Another missile was also fired, hitting a building on Saturday, killing two and injuring 20 others in Sumy, the City Council stated solemnly.
