Any Disney fans out there? If you are really hyped out about Disney, you may want to read this article. Sorry to break your spirits, but unfortunately, a Disney star has recently died. But don’t worry; she lived a nice long life. Want to find out who it is? Just keep reading; oh, and also a hint: she was in The Little Mermaid.
Who Is It?
Her name is Pat Carroll, and she played Ursula the sea witch in The Little Mermaid. Some of her other movies and TV shows include The Danny Thomas Show, She’s the Sheriff, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Laverne & Shirley, My Neighbor Totoro, Freedom Writers, and Nancy Drew. Some game shows she was on include To Tell the Truth, The Match Game, I’ve Got a Secret, Password, You Don’t Say and The $10,000 Pyramid. She won many awards such as an Emmy, a Grammy, and a Tony Award nomination. So how did this actress die? Well, Kerry Karsian says she died of pneumonia. Kerry Karsian and her sister, Tara Karsian, are Carroll’s daughters. “Truer words were never written and this is how we’ll always remember her. We ask that you honor her by having a raucous laugh at absolutely anything today (and everyday forward) because besides her brilliant talent and love, she leaves my sister Kerry and I with the greatest gift of all, imbuing us with humor and the ability to laugh … even in the saddest of times,” Tara Karsian wrote. Sadly, Carroll’s son Sean Karsian died in 2009.
Carroll’s death was tragic, but one thing is for sure, she is our star.
