NASA has decided that it will join other groups in “observations of events that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena” according to the space agency. NASA has heard from the space agency that they have seen flying objects that they could not identify as Chinese, Russian or that came from extraterrestrial sources. They don’t have any strong explanations or details to explain what they have seen. They did say that it was made of very advanced aerospace technology. Most of the people from NASA have said that this is a very risky and non-traditional project. But Zurbuchen of NASA said that he wanted to push the company into more of these risky and unusual projects(Washington Post).
NASA is only spending 9 months on this project, and they have a budget limit of $100,000(Washington Post). After all, this is a very unusual project and most of the researchers are very inexperienced in this type of project because NASA has never been involved.
NASA is also getting involved with this project because they think the airspace is getting tight and they want to look for a lot more different vehicles that will take up the airspace. NASA also reported that they don’t know what to expect but they know that there are a lot of different possibilities that could come up. NASA Administrator said that he seen the classified UAP(Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force) file and according to his response it seems that they possibly spotted UFOS.(Washington Post)
