Recently in July this year, Jeremy Hartwell, a Love is Blind contestant, sued Netflix for how terribly he and the other contestants were treated like garbage.
According to Hartwell, cast members were rarely brought food or water. However, they had unlimited alcoholic drinks.
Hartwell claims that the show had his ID card, passport and wallet confiscated and was told to not interact with any other contestants upon arrival. Everyone’s bags were searched before filming.
“We were basically locked in the room,” he stated.
Another problem with the show was the paycheck. Hart and the others would get extremely underpaid. They would film and work 20 hours every single day and get paid only $1,000 weekly, which is $7.14 per hour.
“It’s a matter of justice and it’s not about the money for me,” Hartwell told CNN.
