At our lab, we took a look at a comprehension strategy to help us understand Sequoyah’s accomplishments. Reread the passage. Then, consider the following:

• If you could invent anything in the world to help our society, what would you invent? How would it work? Write a short piece explaining the invention and its impact.
• Research some of the most famous inventions by Native Americans. Write a short informative article about these inventions and their impact on society.
• Choose a story from this link. Read it. Then, using the IVTB strategy, write a short paragraph, which summarizes the main points.
