Novak Djokovic has beaten Nick Kyrgios in London at the 2022 Wimbledon competition taking his twenty first grand slam title. Djokovic a Serbian tennis player passed all the seven rounds in Wimbledon while Kyrgios got defeated in the finals. This match held on Centre Court in London stunned all the fans as they did not expect seeing this matchup at the end.
Novak Djokovic now has twenty-one Grand Slam titles. He is one grand slam behind Rafael Nadal, the record holder as of now. Djokovic has won seven Wimbledon titles, three U.S. Open titles, nine Australian Open titles, and two French Open titles.
After a very rough year Novak Djokovic managed to pull off his first win this year. Novak could not play in the Australian open due to not being vaccinate and he got defeated in the French Open by Rafael Nadal, the clay court champion. Since he refuses to get vaccinated, he will not be able to attend the U.S. Open this year because it requires a vaccination card for players.
Nick Kyrgios had never reached a grand slam final before and this year in Wimbledon this record was finally stopped. Kyrgios is an Australian tennis player who is twenty-seven years old. Kyrgios is a sneaky player who does many trick shots in a match, such as a tweener, hitting the ball through your legs, or an underarm serve, which tricks people up because it is so lightly hit and so short up in the court. This was not a sentence. He is an extremely good player when he tries and can beat almost anyone, but he gets caught up in his head in matches. In the finals of Wimbledon Kyrgios yelled at the empire about an audience member saying, “”She’s drunk out of her mind and talking to me in the middle of a game. She’s the one who looks like she’s had 700 drinks.” They then had the person “distracting” Kyrgios removed from the match.
Novak Djokovic was the number one seed in this tournament while Nick Kyrgios was unseeded. Seeding in tennis is used to separate the top players so they will not play each other in early draws like the round of sixteen or the round of thirty-two. They will put the best players on the opposite sides of the draw.
Djokovic won this tight match in 4 sets 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Although Novak lost the first set, he immediately changed his game and won the next three sets winning Wimbledon.
