Let’s talk about literature.
I read a lot of books. I’ve tackled the most famous book series, the most vague book series. I’ve read good book series and bad book series. Right now, I could go on a tangent and talk about book series that I think are complete and utter dumpster fires. But then I considered something else I could talk about. A book series that isn’t as well known, but feels like it’s written by God Himself.
Let me introduce you to the Nyxia Triad. An absolute gem. Written by Scott Reintgen, Nyxia follows a story in (put on Uzi Doorman accent) “Spaaaaaaace!”
Anyway, the main series focuses on a group of teenagers selected for a special program where ten of them would board a ship and fly to a new planet dubbed “Eden.” The company that is running the show, called Babel, promises that each of the teen’s families would receive a huge money grant upon them joining the expedition and that the teens who made it to Eden would have their families receive an even larger money cache.
But there’s a catch: There are ten of them, and only eight can go to Eden, the other two being sent home. A sort of competition system is introduced to root out the week, but I’ll let you find out about that for yourself.
One of the reasons I liked Nyxia so much is because it called attention to many minorities from around the world. There’s a kid from China. A teen from Kenya. Another Japanese kid. From all over, all with different stories and backgrounds.
Nyxia is a book series where amazing plot meets amazing execution. It’s one of the only book series where you can’t predict who lives and who dies.
I would recommend it to pretty much anybody, writer and reader and unlettered people alike.
