Those nights we all have
Carrying too much excitement
For something the next day
Not matching your body’s sleep requirement
Asleep, an inability
Turning it into a chore-like assignment, an ability
Frustration, counting a 1000 sheep’s
Anxious, the sound of future loud beeps
Since your last thought
30 at most had passed
Dreadful sounds awake
Desperate, tired, but too late
Feeling prime, probably not
You then realize
Exciting last night, what for?
Falling asleep, why not before?
