A few days ago when the Olympics started in Paris, athletes from around the world came to Paris. The Olympics are described as one of the greatest shows on Earth.

And quite a lot of countries have already won gold Medals!

In gymnastics, Simone Biles won representing Team USA. Simone Biles is one of the greatest athletes of all time. Simone Biles has won four Olympic gold medals, two bronze and one silver.

But, Simone was not at the Olympic games three years ago. Simone returns to the 2024 Olympics and she has improved her physical and mental health.

For the 100m race, Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce has won representing Jamaica. Shelly is recognized by a lot of famous female sprinters around the world. However, Shelly might be the shortest(five feet).
Shelly-Anne has won three gold medals, and will be expected to win this year. But this is going to be Shelly-Anne’s last Olympic game because she has gotten some injuries.

Next is Noah Lyles, who is right now the fastest man in the world. Noah represents Team USA competing for a gold medal in the 100m sprint.
Right now Noah is that fastest person in the world. However, he is not the fastest person that has run in the 100m sprint. Jamaica still has the world record when they ran in 2009 with 9.58 seconds.

Next is Katie Ledecky, who had seven Olympic gold medals. But after this year’s Olympic game, Katie now has nine Olympic medals representing Team USA. She has competed in 200m, 400m, 800, and 1500m freestyle.

  Next, Armand Duplantis, also known as(AKA) “Mondo.”

Mondo(Armand) is a pole vaulter. He has broken his own world record about eight times. Right now the record is 6.24m.

He has become the Olympic champion after having won gold in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
