Onions are the stars

Of many dishes and cuisines

They make us weep

But are also very sweet

Tangy bulbs with hidden folds

White, yellow, red, and green

They have layers upon layers

Like secrets waiting to be seen

Onions are more than just vegetables

They are symbols of life and art

They inspire us to peel away our masks

And reveal our true hearts <3
