Ordinary in Size, Celestial in talent, Stephen Curry is Changing the Game

By: Michael Day

Stephen Curry is a legend. His body shape is quite average compared to other players in the league, yet he is celestial in talent, winning four world championships before finally winning a Finals MVP. The true extent of his grit and willingness to achieve his goal shows how truly great Stephen Curry is.

Over the last eight years, Steven Curry has evolved from a puny basketball player with weak ankles to a national superstar. He changed the entire game of basketball, how we talk about it, and the skill level a point guard needs. More importantly, it shows what it means to be the man on a team.

Still, pressure from his teammates remains. Before Curry disassembled a superb Boston Celtics defensive formation, his lack of MVP and championship titles gave his teammates an excuse to put more pressure on him. Even so, how could a two-time regular season MVP let his teammates outshine him on the court? When Curry puts his mind to something, he doesn’t stop until he reaches his goal. Throughout the next few years, Curry proved his dominance by winning four championship titles and, most importantly, the finals MVP.

Even so, Curry didn’t prove himself legendary by winning four championships, instead, it should be a confirmation of what we already know. The Golden State Dynasty lives on. In addition, the whole world of Basketball has never seen a person so dominant at his size influence a championship as much as Curry does. We can all agree that he is listed in the top 10-15 players of all time. Out of that list, he is the smallest player. He is the shortest player to lead a Basketball Dynasty.

To be so accomplished can enlarge your ego, yet Curry differs; instead of looking inside his resume and peeking at his ranking in basketball, Curry acknowledges that he does not need to prove that he is the man because he lives that title every day. His accomplishments are enough to make that clear.
