Pat Carroll sadly passed away

Pat Carroll was well-known as the voice of Ursula from the Disney film The Little Mermaid. Unfortunately, the actress passed away over the weekend at the age of 95.

She is survived by her ex-husband Lee Karsian, and her daughters Kerry and Tara Karsian. Her son, Sean, died in 2009.

“We ask that you honor her by having a raucous laugh at absolutely anything today (and everyday forward) because besides her brilliant talent and love, she leaves my sister Kerry and I with the greatest gift of all, imbuing us with humor and the ability to laugh…even in the saddest of times,” Tara Karsian said.

Carroll has a huge acting legacy, and many people all over the world know her as an amazing actor. Over the years she won an Emmy Award and a Grammy Award, and was nominated for a Tony Award.

Her Grammy Award was for Best Spoken Word Album in 1981, her Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Performance by An Actress in 1957, in Caesar’s Hour. She won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Performance in an Off-Broadway Play in 1987 for her work in Romeo and Juliet.
