Poetry-Eclipse Poems

By: Eric Liu

As the dark moon blocked,

Light glowed from a radiant ring,

It was a rare sight.

Covered by the moon up high,

Was such a sight for an eye,

An absence of light was in the sky,

With a solar ring that shined bright.

Three celestial objects were not aligned,

While the Sun walked its path and shined,

An event kept in my mind,

As Normal life continued on into the light.

Outside with these glasses,

I Looked at the moon,

I Looked At the sky.

A glowing moon,

A bright sun,

And the Earth in a line.

A Black Circle,

A radiant Ring

Darkness and Light,

Made by the sun,

With the Covering Moon.

Stare for too long,

Blind.

Crossed its course,

I run inside,

Keeping the glasses,

A souvenir
