Once there was a butterfly named Poly. Poly lived in a small house. Poly always went flying searching for a new kind of flower.
One day, Poly heard of a contest. The contest was about who can make the best honey from nectar. Poly signed right up. On the day Poly began searching, the flowers in the town where all the same. Poly flew out of town and searched. One afternoon, she came to a patch of new flowers. She took a nibble of each kind and decided that the red rose was the best. Then when she came back, she saw a bird plunge down trying to catch a snack.
While Poly went to help, she realized that she could find bees and wasps. Poly flew out and went to any beehive she could find. After making an army of a trillion bees and wasps, the army of bees and wasps flew and tried to sting. Before the second insect stabbed the bird, three more came. That was when Poly went into her house. Poly called all of the insects in the army to a tree. Poly said, “stand still!” as she shattered a bottle filled with some special liquid. The potion wet all of them and started to form some powers. Somehow the potion only worked on the bees.
“Why did the potion only work with the bees?” a wasp pipped up. “Because bees can only sting once while you can sting multiple times!” explained Poly, “Now let’s get those birds!” as they fought, the birds flew off. The butterflies and the army of bees and wasps won! When the judge took a sip of each kind of nectar, they announced the winner. The judge yelled through the microphone, “the first place winner is… Poly!!! Second place, Macy!! Third place, Tim!”
As Poly thanked the bees and wasps, one bee asked, “Do we receive a prize too?” Poly said, “Yes!” Then Poly gave each insect a prize. The army said, “We will help anytime!”
