President-prisoner?

By: Tiffany Han

On June 13, former U.S. President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges found against him in front of the court in Miami, Florida.

Currently, there are 37 charges against him. Most of them are related to the hundreds of files about things like national security and nuclear weapons that were taken to his home illegally, according to prosecutors.

If Trump is found guilty, he could spend many years in prison. However, none of those charges forbid him from running for the 2024 election, which Trump stated he will still run for. And since Trump still has a lot of supporters, according to Darren Mulloy, “That’s what makes this so unprecedented. Anything can happen. Though it’s hard to imagine how someone could run a country from a prison cell.”
