Objective: Students will be able to recognize cause-and-effect relationships.
Essential Questions:
- What is a cause?
- What is an effect?
- Why is it important to understand cause-and-effect relationships in a story?
Enduring Understandings:
- A cause is WHY something happens.
- An effect is WHAT happens.
- It’s important to understand cause-and-effect relationships in a story because we can use these skills to better comprehend and appreciate the text.
