Last week, our students were word wizards! This coming week, they will be equipped with the tools to be expert readers who can attack a grade level text with finesse and skill. We had so much fun last week, and we can’t wait to keep the good times rolling with our reading labs on November 1 & 2! To register, click this link: https://tinyurl.com/3n7j4few
Objective: Students will be able to read a passage with appropriate speed, accuracy, and emotion.
Essential Questions:
- How do I make sure that I am reading the words in a passage accurately?
- How can I increase how fast I am reading, but maintain that accuracy?
- How can I understand the emotion behind a passage and translate that into my read-aloud voice?
Enduring Understandings:
- Reading with accuracy and speed allow students to better comprehend and understand the works they are given.
- Reading with emotion can help students to understand the tone in the passage and relate more clearly to the events.
