To whomever it may concern, The main problem I had with your article is that I feel there was more reporting on the “anti-school-opening” side of the argument. It’s a complicated topic but I feel like you capitalized on the death count and facts that support the people who don’t feel comfortable with returning to school. It’s important to remain neutral when reporting on a controversial topic. Almost every person interviewed in the article voted for distance learning, capitalizing on the cons of going back to school. The first quote you used was from a woman who quit her job as a Spanish and French teacher in the district because of her concerns about reopening schools.
In future reports about two-sided topics, there should be a more neutral tone in your article as you are just telling the situation to a broader audience.
