On February 24th, Russia had officially invaded Ukraine and started a war. Since that time, very few have talked about the situation of the war against Russia’s government. So far, only 3 people apart of Russia’s footballers have spoken up about it.

According to the article, one of them texted “No war!” on Instagram, but has not been posting after spreading that message. The other one also spread a message about not wanting war, however, he deleted it a bit after posting.

One particular person who spoke up was Nadya Karpova, the 3rd, and currently the last.

Karpova talks about the situation nearly every single day on Instagram, where she has over 140,000 followers. “I can’t just look at this inhumanity and stay silent, I don’t know what would happen if I was in Russia, not in Spain, but I feel a special responsibility to speak out,” Nadya says.

She and an Interviewer meet in a Chinese restraunt to talk about her feelings, and share them with the world.

Karpova says, “Russian propaganda is trying to persuade Russians that we are a very special nation and the whole world is against us and our unique mission.”

“Putin took everything from us, he took our future.” She says. “At the same time, he did it with our tacit consent. They (the government) didn’t witness strong resistance. Most people were just closing their eyes to injustice, thinking it’s not their business.”

Nadya continues to spread inspiring news today and has gained many new followers and people that are willing to listen to her.
