Steph Curry, one of the shorter players on the basketball court, has just cemented his legacy among some of the greatest players of all time by being awarded NBA Finals MVP for the first time in his career.

You might ask how a player with the talent of Curry got his first Finals MVP, along with his 4th Finals Ring. Usually, the player that earns MVP is tall, skilled, and talented. An example of that kind of player is Lebron James, who is 6 ft 9 in, and 250 pounds.

Curry is the absolute opposite, at 6 ft 2 in and 185 pounds. Curry has a disadvantage in physical stature but his hard work and shooting talent help outweigh some of his disadvantages.

Curry’s teammates call him a leader and a hard worker as well as a floor general, according to The Washington Post. “But a guy his height who is vertically challenged, they would say, just — you saw it; we all saw it. It was just incredible,” Andre Iguodala said reporting to The Washington Post.

Curry has accomplished many feats in his basketball career and just a few weeks ago earned the only trophy that he was missing in his trophy case.
