Last week, the shining pop star Taylor Swift finished her six nights at SoFi Stadium outside of L.A. Swift has been blowing up music charts, with new collabs coming every so often to attract new listeners. Swift’s Eras Tour, which started on March 17 of this year, is set to happen at 146 stadium dates, with the full world tour ending on November 23, 2024 in Toronto, Canada.
Each night, she has been estimated by experts to make $14 million in tickets alone, and a lot more with merchandise revenue included. If this prediction holds, Swift will have earned $1.4 billion by the end of her full tour, overtaking Elton John’s $939 million single-tour record.
Herb Alpert, who has held the record for most titles in the Billboard Top 10 since 1966 and now shares the honor with Swift, comments that he didn’t think any musicians from the current music generation would be capable of having such a great impact. Swift drives Swifities from all over to crowd outside arenas and stadiums, trading beaded friendship bracelets. And hotel rooms nearby were fully booked – all by Swifities, of course.
Although her last tour was in 2018, Swift has had no trouble returning to the stage. Concert tickets are extremely hard to get, with resales as pricy as $3,000 per ticket. At one Seattle concert, her fans shook the ground so much that they created the equivalent of a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. Some fans even pay fees to listen from arena parking lots when tickets are unavailable.
