For 11 weeks, Taylor Swift’s “Tortured Poets” has been on the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1, tying her record for both “ Fearless” and “1989”albums.
But those two albums both went in and out of the top slot, while “Tortured Poets” has been constant and uninterrupted . It has never left the position of No. 1, starting from April 2024. “Tortured Poets” has had around 114,000 sales in America, including 35,000 complete package sales, enough for the bestseller to spend a fifth frame in charge of the Top Album Sales chart, and 102 million streams.
The last woman to have at least 11 weeks in a row as No. 1 on the Billboard was the soundtrack“The Bodyguard”by Whitney Houston. She had 13 back to back toppers out of 20 in 1992 and 1993.
The 31 track album has never fallen below 100 million weekly clicks, and throughout the 11 weeks, “Tortured Poets”have had new versions put into the album with bonus tracks for limited times.
Spotify, Apple Music, and platforms like that also played a huge part in keeping the “Tortured Poets” on the No. 1 spot for 11 weeks.
