Taylor Swift’s Newest Album, “The Tortured Poets Department” is in its 11th straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. This record ties with the records the albums “Fearless” and “1989” set.

This record is amazing, but what makes it even better is how this is the 11th consecutive week of the album being No. 1. New York Times Reporters say the other albums were at No. 1 for 11 weeks, however, the weeks weren’t consecutive. The record that “The Tortured Poets Department” set has beat releases by many famous artists, such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and more.

What records did “The Tortured Poets Department” break? According to Forbes, within the first week of the album’s release, it sold a total of 2.6 million copies and 1.4 million copies on the first day. The album also broke the record for the most streamed album ever, hitting 1 billion streams on Spotify after the first five days of its release. The Billboard noted that all 31 tracks in the album have been streamed 891.37 million times. It broke the record for most single-day streams for an article catalog in Spotify history with 380 million.

How did Taylor Swift feel about her success with her new album? According to the Hollywood Reporter, Swift wrote on Instagram, “My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album.”
