The 5 Passengers Being Carried by The Titan Submersible Are Now Assumed Dead

An underwater craft called “Titan” has gone missing as of June, 18th, 2023. In the recent week, many people on Tiktok have wondered what happened to the “Titan.” The underwater craft carried 5 people and they have since been declared dead. On June, 22 the U.S coast Guard found debris of the underwater craft near the Titanic.

The first attempt to recuse the passengers was on June,19th, 2023. The U.S. and Canada have sent aircraft, ships, and other underwater equipment to help assist. OceanGate Expeditions estimated that the passengers had 96 hours of oxygen left.

The debris was found by an ROV, which is also known as a remotely operated vehicle. The debris was on the ocean floor, half a kilometer from the Titanic. Since the U.S. Coast Guard found debris, it most likely means that the underwater craft imploded.

The names of the five people on the ship are Hamish Harding, Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Shahzada Dawood, Stockton Rush, and Suleman Dawood. According to The Sun, almost all of these people were famous or rich in some way. It cost £250,000 to even go on the ship. The Sun also says that the money is supposed to go to research, rather than adventure tourism.

Many friends and family of the people on the underwater craft are devastated by the loss of their loved ones. The world is still in shock at what has happened. The demise of the underwater craft Titan serves as a reminder that oceans still hold mysteries beyond our understanding.
