My heart jumped. I saw Bob! He was my friend that I lost contact with a long time ago because he went to boarding school. I also saw tons of new people and no Jerry.

The room was really fancy with a big glass chandelier. There were white quartz walls, marble floors, and, on the sides were mahogany tables with chairs. In the middle of the room was a young man with a basket.

Finally, the man spoke. “It is time for you all to choose your power. But it will be next class.” Groans filled the class. It looked like everybody had parents like this who had told them about the powers. “But, in the meantime, you will be able to check out all the powers that you could potentially choose.” He snapped his fingers.

Things appeared on the mahogany tables and there were posters and people at each one. We separated and went to explore all of them. The first thing that I wanted to go to was the Medicine Power. There were people there explaining how it works, how to use it, and how long it takes to master it. I was disappointed to hear that it takes 5 years to master, but it could solve most of the world’s problems like hunger and sickness. But no one has ever been able to do that yet. They either couldn’t master it, or only used it for basic needs.

Most people were going toward the money power, except for me and Bob. I don’t think they know that it will not make money appear out of nowhere. It will just help you make more money at your job.
Soon, the class ended and everybody left. Most of them were disappointed that they couldn’t make infinite money, but Bob and I decided that once we mastered our powers, we were going to solve all the problems. Bob was going to use the money power to start a successful business to solve the problems, and I would choose the medicine power to solve them.

We shook hands and began studying.
