There is a breakthrough in golden staph, and scientists and doctors will have to find a cure for it quickly.
Golden staph is an infection that looks like honey spilling on your skin.
One in three people carry golden staph, but it is usually harmless. However, it can lead to an urgent infection in the bloodstream.
Melbourne scientists said that the golden staph could be deadly.
“Samples from 400 people with golden staph infections across Australia and New Zealand provided the Doherty Institute team with a unique treasure trove of data.”
The United Nations says that golden staph could cause up to 10 million deaths yearly by 2050, and it could be a global pandemic more deadly than Covid.
People might have been worrying that the doom date of 2050 will kill everyone.
