“The Little Mermaid” is one of my favorite Disney movies because of the songs, the storyline, and the compelling characters.
The first reason why “The Little Mermaid” is one of my favorite Disney movies is because of the songs. My favorite song, one of the most popular, is Part of your world. The music is incredibly smooth and has a gentle touch to it. “Part of Your World” will give you all the feels and goosebumps. I, personally, am fond of romance, and the entire “Kiss The Girl” sequence is just so adorable. The songs in “The Little Mermaid” are absolutely unforgettable.
The second reason why “The Little Mermaid” is one of my favorite Disney movies is because of the attention-grabbing storyline. It starts with rebellious 16-year-old mermaid Ariel who is fascinated by life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are forbidden by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula to become human for three days. Things go sideways for the two lovers, and the king must make the ultimate sacrifice for his one and only daughter.
The last reason why “The Little Mermaid” is one of my favorite Disney movies is because of the compelling characters. Starting strong with Sebastian, the hilarious crab. He was voiced to comic perfection by Samuel E. Wright. Sebastian tries to help Ariel in any way possible. He may seem a little harsh, but he is doing what is best for Ariel. Another one of the best characters is Ursula. She is a villain, but a very enthralling villain. I know that when I first watched “The Little Mermaid”, I was so scared of Ursula, which is how it is supposed to be.
“The Little Mermaid” is one of my favorite Disney movies because of the storyline, the compelling characters, and the amazing songs. This movie is a five out of five star, like most of the Disney movies.
