To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Polly Pocket, this year Airbnb is offering a life–size dollhouse for people to stay at. The doll house is based on Polly Pocket, dolls and accessories that were very popular in the 1990’s.
The experience even includes 90’s themed snacks, bracelet making toys, and clothes in Polly Pocket style.
But there are even more fascinating places such as the Shrek’s swamp home designed by Airbnb that replicates Shrek’s house. This listing of this house says guests can relax in the ambiance of earwax candlelight.
Airbnb also offers an all–time favorite cartoon themed house, Spongebob Squarepants! Everyone knows Spongebob lives in a pineapple under the sea, so the house is shaped like a pineapple. The house even includes a replica of Spongebob’s living room shown in the cartoon.
In 2022, Disney created a Star Wars themed hotel, the Galactic Cruiser, in Disney World. Although this hotel is closed now, it was once open to all the Star Wars fans! However shortly after it opened, it closed a year later due to many people complaining it was too expensive at the price of $4,809.
If that wasn’t crazy enough, there even is a dog hotel, shaped as a dog! The entire bed and breakfast of this guest house is inside a giant beagle. There is also dog decor and furniture located everywhere in the house.
And finally the craziest one of them all is a hotel in Sweden, built inside an old jumbo plane with a disused runway next to it. It even has a balcony and wings for people to get the feeling of being on an actual functioning plane.
