Disney and director Kesey Mann just launched their newest movie: Inside Out 2 on June 14 2024.

Building off the original movie Inside Out, a girl named Riley moved into a new city when she was 11 and had nothing in common with new place she moved to. Now, in the second movie of the series, Riley turns thirteen, and develops a teenage mind. Unexpectedly though, something happens. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust all meet new emotions: Anxiety, Embarrassment, Envy, and Ennui!

This new movie is also the biggest movie of the year. The overall review on google, with about 2000 reviews, was 4.6 stars. Rounded up that is a solid 5 stars! The review website Rotten Tomato gave the movie a 91% while the audience gave it a 96%. For reference, most other movies have a 60% -80% overall rating.

The movie shows teens how to deal with anxiety and puberty. Anxiety draws up a bunch negative thoughts and projections to the mind before Riley’s hockey match. When Anxiety’s plan gets overwhelming, Joy starts to send positive thoughts to the mind to make Riley feel happy again.
