CHAPTER 1

I was working in the hardware store at 6:30 a.m. with my coworkers, waiting for customers to come I asked Henry, one of my coworkers to tune up the news.
“Sure,” said Henry.
We turned up the TV, and by surprise, the news was blank, and a message read: BREAKING NOW: Never go outside. What?! Strange.
“Is this some kind of lame prank for customers to stay indoors?!” said George.
“Yeah! how rude!” I exclaimed.
Today is the weekend, therefore there must be many people coming. We waited while doing our daily work, until 5:30 p.m., and still no customers. Weird, I thought, also seeing the puzzled faces of my coworkers. But it is crazy to believe what the news said!
Finally, we heard a big scream outside and someone yelling, “‘Help! Help! The zombies got me!’”

CHAPTER 2

What? Zombies? Zombies do not exist, do they, I thought to myself. Now, my coworkers looked more scared than I was. But they are all curious and wait to find out what is going on outside.
Henry and Zer grabbed chainsaws. Teana grabbed a leaf blower, and George, Bernard, Tom, and Vincero grabbed grass cutters. I want to find out too, but I do not want to find out myself! So, I quickly turned to the news, and I cried aloud!

Zombies replace the blank screen! I was shocked and scared and confused at the same time when I saw the subtitle said in a robotic, broken voice, “BREAKING NOW: Warning: Zombie invasion sudden appearance attacks our city by a strange object found in area 51! If People touch the object they turn into zombies! The zombies killed people from Area 51 to our city’s spreading! If you are still alive, evacuate now!”

CHAPTER 3

I want to evacuate, but first, the zombies surrounded the store, and second, I am a brave person, and if I want to evacuate, I must fight!
At least my partners are with me. But suddenly, I heard seven screams and rips and dripping and thumps outside, and the only sound was the moaning of the zombies.
I froze. I feel super scared. The rotten flesh smell filled the air, but I didn’t care. I must be prepared, I thought, to be the last human on earth! Quickly, I grabbed a leftover chainsaw, mallet, a drill, and a pocketknife. I grabbed a metal piece for a shield. Then, I went outside, preparing for the fight.

CHAPTER 4

Without a word, I banged open the door, knocking several zombies to the ground and giving me enough time to see my partners on the ground! DEAD. No, wait, THEY ARE NOT DEAD! They are zombies! I do not want to kill them, but I must at least hurt them.

There has got to be a cure! Quickly, I used the mallet to bonk them out, and I used the chainsaw to do a 360 spin all around! Blood and flesh fle

Then,I used the drill to open the zombies and the pocketknife to stab them, because even though I was brave and scared the same time, I had defeated the zombies with the remaining energy I had. But then, there are still ten remaining, the metal piece I had as a shield has a large hole in it and cannot be used, and the other tools are missing! The weapon shop is a long way and no time. The zombies would get me before I got a gun! But then, the zombies suddenly die! Huh?

I saw my coworkers with their weapons in their hands!

“How?! I thought you were knocked out, but how are you still alive?!,” I asked.

“You knocked us out, and that is the zombie cure! I just knew it before I came here to work as a hardware store worker. I am a professor. And I congratulate you for curing us with a method nobody in the world knows. You did it. You stopped the zombie invasion for everybody in the world. Now, if we can go to my abandoned lab, you, with a click of a button to stop the zombies button, the world will all thank you and wipe out all the other zombies. With the knowledge from the past, you must get the World Hero Reward!” Henry said, smiling.
