The USA’s women gymnastics team has wongolds in Olympics gymnastics continuously since the Atlanta 1996 Games. The only exception was at the Tokyo 2020 Games, where Mykala Skinner won the silver medal in vault for the USA Team.
This year in the 2024 Paris Olympics USA women gymnastics team are past Olympians Suni Lee (2020, 2024 gold), Jordan Chiles (2020 gold), Jade Carey (2024 gold) and their world-famous team leader Simone Biles (2016 4 gold, 2020 4 gold, 2024 3 gold). Looking more into these gymnasts, we can see that they’re truly hard working and talented.
According to SELF Newsletters, Minnisota-born Sunisa Lee (Suni for nickname) entered the 2024 Olympic right after recovering form 2 kidney diseases, Suni stating “That (the disease) was probably the hardest couple months. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to do it.”23-year-old Jordan Chiles, an artistic gymnast with a challenging life but with a supportive team that cheers her on for her second medal, is definitely a champion in her floor routines. Jade Carey on the other hand, is a very skilled gymnast that started her career at two years old and kept working hard over many years to win an Olympic gold medal.
Simone Biles is one of the greatest athletes in history today and has eleven medals, including 4 gold at the 2024 Olympics this year, making Simone a gymnastics legend in women’s gymnastics Olympics.
This year the USA’s women Gymnastics Team continues to do vaults, beams, and floor routines, and of course, celebrating and supporting for each other after every match. Not only do they have support, but they also have good sportsmanship and love for their opponents as the USA’s women’s Gymnastics Team continue to thrive!
