When making an earnest attempt,
you must not forget:
to sacrifice much of your life.
to let its glare overshadow its plight.
to make an hour’s benefit worth two.
Yet,
you must still remember:
to take breaks and take in the world’s joys.
to watch your health over your work.
to close your ear from both criticism and praise.
For when you lose your strength and memories begin to blend,
what you build comes to an end.
