Daisy began telling the story. “Once open a time, there was a man-“
“What’s wrong with that man.”
“I’m going to tell you! As I said there was a man and he was a great warrior, he fought in many wars and was a leader of many armies.”
“This is boring.”
“I’m not done. So when he had just won the fight with the Tameralis, the gods rewarded him with this necklace, an-”
“The necklace like mine?” Xan just remembered about the flame necklace with almost broken threads.
“YES! Now can you stop interrupting me.”
“Oh sorry.”
“Ok as I said he had a necklace and when he held it he transformed into a blue flame guardian, people thought they were here to harm them so they sacrificed him.”
Xan was now hiding under a blanket, shivering from fear.
“You don’t need to be scared; people don’t know you’re the guardian. So they can’t..uhh..kill you, I guess.”
But little did they know someone was behind, listening, and ready to give out the information to all the people in the village.
When it got dark, Xan headed back to the village but as he walked by the shops and wagons people would go back and they would start staring at him and talking.
When he went home his mom said, “Omg your grandma was right maybe you did have something special after being with thunder.”
It just happened so to be a dark thundering night, like the same weather when Xan was born.
“What?”
“Ok dear time for bed and no going outside tomorrow.”
“But mom!”
“It’s for your own safety now go.”
Xan didn’t know what to do, he really wanted to go outside and play with his new friend Daisy. He decided to decide to sneak out of the house so he can ask Daisy some questions. But while Daisy was telling him the story, he felt someone was keeping an eye on them and watching them closely. He better go warn Daisy before it’s too late. But instead of going he tired to sleep but the old grandfather clock was making ‘tic toc tic toc’ noise.
