AI, or artificial intelligence, is growing rapidly. The pictures that AI can generate often seem flawless, but there are many key points that can give away these pictures.

AI generated images can mess up the small details that most people don’t look at, such as small patches of text, or fingers. Some AI generated pictures can make the text look like gibberish, and often add one or two fingers on hands.

AI also often makes the humans in the images look perfect. The shadowing looks gorgeous, and the background is beautiful. Most times, real pictures are not as perfect as AI generated ones.

When prompted with an AI generated picture, by right-clicking the image, and then clicking “Search image,” an AI generated image can easily be spotted. If there are pictures that match it, the image is most likely real. If not, then it is most likely AI generated.

Sometimes, AI also messes up some pixels of backgrounds. If the picture happens to be a selfie, and there are people behind them, then the people would most likely look a little disoriented. Some things could not make sense. For example, a picture of people riding bikes has many people riding two or more bikes combined together.

Last, but not least, another way to spot AI generated art is from AI websites and apps. There are many websites, like Hugging Face Image Detector, that could give you an estimate of how likely an image is AI.

Although AI has become a big part of human society, people can still take control and differentiate.
