Voice actress Pat Carroll, who was best known for voicing the main antagonist of ‘The
Little Mermaid’, Ursula, died at the age of 95 from Pneumonia in her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
“It is with a heavy heart that I write that my mother, Pat Carroll, has passed away at the grand old age of 95,” said Tara Karsian, Ms. Carroll’s daughter, in an Instagram post. “We ask that you honor her by having a raucous laugh at absolutely anything today (and every day forward) because, besides her brilliant talent and love, she leaves my sister Kerry and I with the greatest gift of all, imbuing us with humor and the ability to laugh…even in the saddest of times.”
Ms. Carroll has won many awards, including the Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and the Tony Award nomination.
In 1957, Ms. Carroll won her Emmy Award for her excellent work in the show “Caesar’s Hour.” She won the Grammy Award for her work put into the show “Gertrude Stein, Gertrude Stein, Gertrude Stein.” And finally, she was nominated for a Tony when she appeared in the Broadway musical “Catch a Star!”
However, even as an actress, she also liked game shows. Even participating in some, including “I’ve Got a Secret,” “Password,” “You Don’t Say,” “The $10,000 Pyramid,” and many more.
When she died, it saddened many people who did or didn’t watch the 1987 Walt Disney film, “Little Mermaid.” However, throughout her life, she won many awards and appeared in many films.
