What is Right and Wrong?

By: Jerry Wang

Right is the accepted ideas,

the ideas stemming from the influential,

and the ideas of the past.

The unquestioned ideas.

Wrong is the contradicting ideas,

the ideas of “nobodies,”

and the ideas for the future.

The oppressed ideas.

How could Charles Meigs be mistaken on the cause of childbed fever

when that alternative was Dr Oliver Wendell Holmes’ suggestion of an unheard and unseen contaminate.

How could the American Revolution be right

when, at the time, it appears wrong?

Without the eyes of the future,

judgment is ignorance in disguise.
