The most watched women’s sports tournament is happening soon! Let’s answer some of the most asked questions.

Where is the Women’s World Cup being held? It will be hosted by both Australia and New Zealand with matches taking place throughout five cities in Australia and four in New Zealand.

When is the Women’s World Cup starting? There will be an opening match first, against Norway, in New Zealand’s biggest stadium, on July 20th. The final match will be in Australia on August 20th at Australia’s Olympic Stadium.

Team USA are currently the champions of two years. Winning in 2015 and 2019. The last tournament was against Netherlands with the final score being 2-0. The USA is determined to win this World Cup so they can become the first team to win three in a row!

The World cup mascot is a 15 year old penguin and this is the first time the tournament will hold 32 teams, with 8 of them being new teams.
