Nobody can control what trends on the internet. One moment, this song is trending, and the other moment, another is. An example of this, is in Fortnite. In the new update, you can go to a virtual concert featuring Metallica. One reason this happens is because the people who develop these games might are sometimes the same age as your parents, and they put the songs that were popular in their childhood into the games or videos that they create.

You might be wondering, who is Metallica? The reason you might not know is because they were famous back in the 1980s. They are a heavy metal band made of the musicians James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo. If you watch one of their concerts, you might notice that they are playing extremely fast. In fact, Metallica founded a genre of music called speed metal, in which heavy metal is played as fast as possible.

This isn’t the only time this has happened. On social media or other platforms, the same things happen sometimes too, like on TikTok. Some people don’t care how old or new the songs, are, they just choose the ones that they think sound good. When big artists create new songs, they want people to listen to those songs. So really, songs just depend on if they’re good, not how new or old .
