Why Demon Slayer is An Incredible Anime

Are you a fan of emotionally gripping anime? Or perhaps, are you interested in immersing yourself in a captivating world filled with power-hungry demons? Demon Slayer, a shonen anime aired in 2019, covers more than just these two elements.

Kimetsu No Yaiba, more commonly known as Demon Slayer, follows Tanjiro, a 15-year-old boy, on a roller coaster of adventure to regain his sister Nezuko’s humanity after she is unjustifiably turned into a demon by their greatest foe, Muzan. From displaying empathy with rivals to building friendships, this series covers many significant aspects of life, deeming it one of the best shonen – a word used for describing a genre of mangas and animated films targeted to young male audiences – in anime history.

A recurring theme in this series is empathy for villains. In classic novels, it is common for authors to write antagonists in a way that makes them seemingly horrible and unable to pity. However, Demon Slayer questions these ways by delving into the backstories of these outwardly evil characters. Through their memories, we can understand and relate to their motivations and goals, as well as their hardships and misfortunes.

Demon Slayer’s unparalleled animations and graphics also add to its ever-growing popularity.  From flowing water to burning flames, the unique representation of these visuals creates an unforgettable experience for the audience. Serving as Ufotable’s first mainstream project, the studio perfectly demonstrates the ability to use CGI and colorful imagery to allow viewers to immerse themselves in intriguing battles.

In conclusion, Demon Slayer is an emotionally gripping anime that delves into significant aspects of life and delivers stunning visuals.  With its compelling storyline and unforgettable animation, the shonen deemed itself one of the greatest animes of all time.
