By: Wesley Zhao

With veterans playing in the Euro Cup and making big appearances, young prodigies are showing off their skills. There are many young players who could become very talented.

First off, Cole Palmer, a 22 year-old midfielder. It requires him to run the most and have good ball control as the ball is usually in his possession. He also needs to have good defense. He was originally playing in Manchester City but is having an amazing debut season with Chelsea. During 33 league games, he scored 22 times and had 11 assists. He scored his first goal for England during his first international start against Bosnia-Herzegovina during the Euro 2024 warm up.

Second, the youngest player in this list: Lamine Jamala 16 year-old playing for Spain. He is a rising talent and is breaking all sorts of records at the club and national level. He is a forward which means he usually scores the ball. He plays for Barcelona and started when he was 15! He is the youngest goalscorer in La Liga history and is the youngest scorer for Spain.

There’s Arda Güler from Turkey a 19 year-old midfielder and Xavi Simons from the Netherlands and is also a midfielder.

Finally Warren Zaïre-Emery who plays for France. He’s 18, plays midfielder, and is a record breaker like Lamine Jamal. He is France’s youngest player and in August 2022, he made his professional debut for PSG and became their youngest player as well.

With these young players already becoming big, they are sure to rise, but in this Euro Cup, only 1 team will come out victorious.
