The Glastonbury Festival, one of the largest performing art festivals in the world, is happening this week, June 26-30, on Worthy Farm in Somerset, England, near Glastonbury. There will be world-famous musicians including Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA. More than 200,000 people are camping outside the barn of a dairy farm for five days to experience the festivity.

Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and SZA will each perform for one evening of the festival on the main stage to end the day. Shania Twain, a well-respected long-time musician in the industry, will be this year’s musical “legend” – a coveted designation for musicians with careers that exceed 20 years.

Pop stars like Olivia Dean, Anne-Marie and Camilla Cabello, bands including Jungle, Bombay Bicycle Club and Two Door Cinema Club, and other big names including Little Simz, Cyndi Lauper, LCD Soundsystem and Arlo Parks, are also making an appearance at the festival.

In previous years, musicians like Elton John and Paul McCartney have been headliners at the festival.
Flags at the Festival
People at the festival bring flags to represent the countries they are from. Among the sea of flags, there are also football club flags, pride flags, and other customized flags such as Pokémon flags. These flags help the participants to spot their friends easily in the huge, loud crowds.

Charity Tattoos
This year, musicians have made temporary tattoos to promote the clean water charity Water Aid. Water Aid makes clean water available for hard-to-get places like Jackson, Mississippi, Michigan, parts of New York City, and the state of Hawaii. The vibrant tattoo stickers are distributed near the restrooms and water stations throughout the festival venue.

Tickets
