Ken Block, a rally driver, and YouTube stuntman, died in a tragic snowmobile accident on January 2, 2023. The accident occurred in Utah while Block was with his club, Hoonigan Racing.
Around 2:00 pm on January 2, Block was riding down a steep hill, and he lost control of his snowmobile. The snowmobile then flipped over to where it was on top of him, and the Hoonigan Racing Club immediately called the Wasatch County 911 Centre to report an snowmobile accident. Block was then announced dead in a somber Instagram post by his Racing Club that aimed to pay respects to his family and everyone close to him.
Ken Block was a competitive rally driver, who won the ‘Rally America Rookie of The Year Award’ and the ‘2016 Autoweek Car Culture Award.’ A Rally driver is someone who does competitive racing in cars.
Block was then announced dead in a somber Instagram post by his Racing Club that aimed to pay respects to his family and everyone close to him.He was mostly known for his Gymkhana videos, featuring races and other competitions.
“The loss of Ken is the only celebrity death that has actually affected me. I just can’t believe he’s gone. I hope his family finds peace after this tragedy,” commented a supporter of his YouTube channel. “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon,” the Hoonigan Club said. “And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed.” “Yesterday I did not just loose my father, I lost my best friend”, says Lia Block, his loving daughter. Not only has his online community been very dreadful his racing club has also been very unhappy.
